Polis & Latchi

St. Neophytos Monastery, Polis, Baths of Aphrodite, Latchi

Tour begins at St. Neophytos Monastery with its 12th Century frescoes & caves. Drive north through local villages and arrive in Polis where the ancient city 'Kingdom of Marion' once stood. Stop at the charming square for coffee. Drive through the pretty fishing village of Latchi and arrive at the Baths of Aphrodite where, according to legend, the Goddess Aphrodite used to take her beauty bath in a pool of a natural grotto shaded by a fig tree. The myth promises to give you eternal youth and beauty from a dip in the water of this natural spring. After a lazy lunch, take a little walk along the coastline, sunbathing & swimming (weather permitting) or have a Cyprus coffee or brandy sour and chill out. On the journey back to Paphos enjoy the panoramic views while travelling through the villages of Kathikas & Peyia

Troodos

Pafos forest, Kykkos Monastery, Tomb of Makarios, Platres

Begins in the ecological heart of Cyprus with it's idyllic villages and evergreen forests. Stop for a refreshment at Platres. Travel through the Troodos square and upwards to the highest point in Cyprus, Mount Olympus 1,951m above sea level (weather permitting). Next stop, Kykkos Monastery, the most famous and wealthy monastery on the island founded in 1092. Visit the tomb of Archbishop  & president Makarios. Enjoy lunch in the nearby restaurant. Return through the panoramic forest of Pafos.

Nicosia

St John Cathedral, Green Line, Shopping, Lefkara Village

Starts in Nicosia, the only divided capital in the world. Drive through the old city, visit the cathedral of St. John which dates back to the 17th century. Pass through the Venetian walls, Famagusta Gate and the Statue of Liberty. Continue the tour into the recently restored 19th century quarter of the city Laiki Yitonia where you will have time for lunch and a walk to the Green line which divides the city in two. Then journey south towards Lefkara, a picturesque village world renowned for handmade lace & silver.

Limassol

Aphrodite's Birthplace, Kourion, Kolossi, Winery

Discover the legend and history which surround this beautiful region. Beginning at the Rock of Aphrodite, where according to legend the Goddess of beauty and love was born rising out of the waves. Continue the tour to Kourion, visit the stunning amphitheatre and House of Eustolius with breathtaking mosaics. After a visit to the Crusader castle of Kolossi, which was originally constructed in the 13th century by the Knights of St. John, arrive in the coastal town of Limassol. Whilst in Limasssol visit one the of the islands largest wineries where you will be able too taste some of the best Cypriot wines. Have lunch in the centre of Limassol and shop for some bargains.

Kyrenia

Occupied North

Journey into a different way of life. Passing through the checkpoint and driving through the Pentadaktylos Mountains into the picturesque town of Kyrenia. Bordered to the north by the sea and to the south by the greenery of the five finger mountain range, it offers the most magnificent scenery on the island. Explore the narrow cobbled alleys behind the harbour and take lunch in one of the local cafes. After lunch, travel south of Kyrenia to Bellapais Abbey, a beautiful example of Gothic art built on a rocky mountain top. The main part of the monastery was built in 1198 and the Italian frescoes seen at the entrance were built in the 15th century.

Famagusta

Salamina, Cathedral of St. Nikolaos, Ghost City, Ayia Napa

Visit  Famagusta - the part which is occupied by the Turks as well as the part developed after 1974. First stop is Choirokitia with settlements dating back to 9000 B.C. stop for refreshments. Continue to the check-point and visit the city of Famagusta within the Venetian walls. Walk around the market and visit the impressing Gothic Monuments: The Cathedral of St. Nikolaos, 14th century, which is now a mosque. Out side the walls, visit the ancient kingdom of Salamina, one of the 11 kingdoms built by the Greeks into eh 12 century, famous for its theatre and the gymnasium. Pass through the Ghost City with it's abandoned hotels. Stop at Ayia Napa the great resort famous for the golden beaches.

Roundtrip

Birth place of Aphrodite, Larnaca, Nicosia, Troodos Mountains

Driving along the picturesque coastal road towards Limassol, visit the Rock of Aphrodite, where the Goddess of beauty and love was born. Stroll along the sea-front of Larnaca with the lovely palm trees and visit the famous cathedral of St. Lazarus from the 9th century. Enjoy a drink or have lunch in the restored old city of Nicosia, walk through the cafeterias and have a look into the occupied area. Visit one of the Unesco churches, Panayia of Podithou, with amazing frescoes. Drive through Kakopetria village with its fruit and nut trees and the green heart of Cyprus, Troodos Mountains. Lastly visit Omodos village with its winery and the old monastery of the Holy Cross.
