Description
This beautiful, spacious villa is situated in the delightful residential area of Kamares Village, Tala. With outstanding, unobstructed panoramic mountain and sea views. The property consists of three bedrooms, two bathrooms, fully fitted, high quality, Italian kitchen with granite worktops, separate utility room, dining and living room.
The villa’s covered area is 200 m² and sits on a 900m2 corner plot, offering full privacy by the well -established bordering trees. The plot consists of a large, mature garden, numerous patio areas, a 10x5m pool with roman steps and an outside shower. To the front of the property there is a covered car port with space for two cars. The garden has been fully fitted with a new electronic irrigation system. Its additional features include large swimming pool, full air-conditioning throughout, full gas central heating and a pressurised water system. In addition, the drainage system has been converted to a ‘tissue friendly system’ (by Drain Tech).
Situated in Tala, a picturesque village on the outskirts of Paphos, located between Kissonerga and Tsada and due to the 280 metre altitude it is built on, it is famous for its cool breezes in the summer heat and spectacular views of the Mediterranean. The average annual rainfall is around 520 millimetres which helps with the growing of grapes, both table and wine making, cereals, forage plants, vegetables, locust beans, olives, almonds, walnuts, banana orange and lemon trees.
This village is in the area of the underground water stratum of Paphos. Several bore holes have been dug in the region which contributes to the irrigation of several tracts of the land. Tala has also benefits from the irrigation project of Paphos covering a range of 40 acres of land by the Asprokremos dam.
This traditional Cypriot village is surrounded by paved pedestrian areas, and traditional taverns, and friendly local coffee shops, and close to the 12th Century Monastery of St. Neophytos, founded at the end of the 12thcentury by the Cypriot hermit and writer Neofytos. The ‘Egkleistra’ and enclosure carved out of the mountain contains some of the finest Byzantine frescoes dating from the 12th to 15th century. In the monastery’s church there is an interesting ecclesiastical museum.
Other amenities such as supermarkets, shops and banks are all within walking distance. Just a five minute drive away is the championship golf course at Tsada, Minthis golf course, founded in 1994 on the hills of Tsada, set on the grounds of 12th century monastery, in a verdant valley. Created by Donald Steel and renovated by Mackenzie + Ebert in 2006/07, it plays to a par 71 and measures 5843 meters. Situated on the outskirts of Pafos, the altitude of 550 meters above sea level ensures cool breezes during the summer months.
The village square has two small family run supermarkets for your essentials, a traditional coffee shop where you can see the Cypriot locals sitting outside watching the world go by while sipping on the tasty Cypriot coffee.
Kamares club is the hub of the village, with its large swimming pool, sun terraces, landscaped gardens, restaurant, bar, games room, lounge, mini-market, reception and tennis court. This place will make any resident feel right at home, with some sort of activity always going on.
Tala is not far from the beautiful area of Coral bay. A mere 10-15 minute drive will take you into the wonderful buzzing town of Coral bay with great pubs, lively bars and delicious restaurants and of course the blue flag sandy beaches with their own beach bars and other facilities.
The village of Tala with its traditional old churches, streets, coffee shops and hospitable people offers to the resident a sense of community.
